Privacy Policy

1. Scope
This policy explains how Menas, formerly EasyLawCy, collects and processes data in the web app, mobile app, the Menas connector for AI assistants, and related services. Menas (Android package com.easylawcy.app), also shown as EasyLawCY on Google Play, is operated by DIGITRUN MEDIA SERVICES LIMITED (developer name: Digitrun Media Services Ltd).
2. Data We Process
We process account details (for example email and profile fields), usage activity (for example queries and case workspace actions), and service telemetry needed for reliability and security. Section 8 describes the data processed when you use Menas from an AI assistant.
3. Why We Process Data
We process data to provide legal-research functionality, secure user accounts, prevent abuse, support billing/subscriptions, and improve product quality.
4. Communications
Support and transactional communications may be delivered through authorized service providers. Marketing emails can be opted out.
5. Retention and Security
We retain data for operational, legal, and security purposes and apply appropriate technical and organizational safeguards.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal data, subject to legal obligations.
To request a copy of your Menas account data, deletion of data, or deletion of your account, use the My Data request form.
7. Contact
For privacy requests, use the My Data request form, contact Menas support from the web or mobile app, or use the contact details on our Support page. Menas is operated by DIGITRUN MEDIA SERVICES LIMITED (developer name: Digitrun Media Services Ltd).
8. Using Menas from an AI assistant
You can use Menas from inside AI assistants, such as ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot, through the Menas connector. This section explains what happens to your data when you do. How to set it up is explained on Menas in your AI assistant.
8.1 What the assistant sends to Menas
When your assistant uses Menas to answer you, it sends Menas only what that lookup needs: the search request (for example a legal issue, a case number, party names or the title of a law) and any filters you asked for (court, years, language). Our tools do not ask for your conversation history, and we do not try to obtain or rebuild it. Please do not include personal or confidential information about clients or other people unless the search really needs it.
8.2 Using Menas without a Menas account
Searching case law, finding a specific judgment, reading a judgment and finding legislation work without signing in to Menas. In that case we process the request only to return results, and we do not link it to a Menas account. We keep technical service records (for example the time of a request, which tool was used, the outcome and the network address it came from) for security, abuse prevention and reliability.
8.3 Connecting your Menas account
To continue a task in the Menas app, you connect your Menas account: you sign in on a Menas page and approve the access the assistant asks for (reading legal sources, and handing a task over to the Menas app). Menas never sees your password for the assistant, and the assistant never sees your Menas password. When you connect, we keep:
- a record of the connection: which assistant, the access you approved, and when it was created and last used;
- access tokens, which we store only in a non-reversible (hashed) form. An access token lasts one hour and is renewed automatically; the connection itself ends after at most 90 days, or earlier if you disconnect.
8.4 Continuing in the Menas app
When you ask to continue in Menas, the assistant sends your request in your own words, the judgments you selected and the filters in use. We save them in your Menas account so the Menas app opens with that context. The assistant receives a single-use link that expires after one hour and does not contain your request. Menas asks for your confirmation before it starts any research task. The saved context is kept with your other case data and can be deleted through the My Data request form.
8.5 Who else processes the data
- The results Menas returns go to the AI assistant you use and are processed by its provider under that provider's own privacy policy. Menas does not control that processing.
- To prepare a search, Menas may use an AI service provider acting on our behalf, and we host the service with cloud providers. They process the data only to provide the service to us.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
8.6 No training on your data
We do not use your requests, the results we return or your account data to train AI models, and our AI service providers may not use them to train theirs.
8.7 Your choices
- You can use the search and reading tools without connecting a Menas account.
- You can disconnect Menas at any time in your assistant's settings for apps or connectors.
- You can ask us to end every connection to your account, or to access or delete your data, through the My Data request form or our Support page.
